微鞘藻胞外多糖在沙漠土壤成土中的作用   总被引:27,自引:4,他引:23  
研究了沙坡头藻结皮中的优势物种——微鞘藻的胞外多糖对沙漠表层土壤水分分布状况的影响及其光合特性。随着胞外多糖浓度的升高 ,土壤持水量增大 ,土壤水分蒸发速率降低 ,水分在土壤中运动的速率被延缓。藻总水溶性多糖产率为 2 8.82 % ,胞外水溶性多糖产率为 1 6 .0 9% ;多糖产量在稳定期生物量最大时增长最快。微鞘藻光合作用最适温度为 2 5℃ ,最适光强为 40 0 μE.m- 2 .s- 1,在 0 .3 mol/ L Na Cl浓度下其光合作用活性被强烈抑制 ;微鞘藻的吸收光谱表明它比生长在湿润地区的藻类含有更多的胡萝卜素成分 ;叶绿素 a荧光 (Fv/ Fm)分析表明在失水约为初始湿重的 5 6 %时 Fv/ Fm值恢复到水培养的 96 % ;其光合作用特性有利于对逆境的适应和生物量的积累。表明微鞘藻胞外多糖可影响沙漠表层土壤水分分布状况 ,并可作为一种潜在的生物肥料 ,在荒漠原始成土过程中扮演着重要角色。  相似文献

探索以图像分析技术,在无扰、在位、实时的情况下,对单个活态红细胞的多个力学参量:弯曲模量KC、剪切模量μ及切向与弯曲模量之比ε等进行非侵入性连续动态测定的新方法。以该技术对红细胞在不同外部条件(温度、氧分压、渗透压)下的力学参量进行动态监测,不但揭示出有关变量条件对细胞各个力学参量的影响。还证明了本技术适于对细胞的各种生理和病理过程进行连续监测。  相似文献

Sex allocation theory predicts that mothers in good conditionshould bias their brood sex ratio in response to the differentialbenefits obtained from increased maternal expenditure in sonsand daughters. Although there is well-documented variationof offspring sex ratios in several bird species according tomaternal condition, the assumption that maternal condition has different fitness consequences for male and for female offspringremains unclear. The blue-footed booby (Sula nebouxii) is asexually size-dimorphic seabird, with females approximately31% heavier than males. It has been reported that the sex ratiois male biased in years with poor feeding conditions, whichsuggests that either females adjust their sex ratio in accordancewith their condition or that they suffer differential brood mortality before their sex can be determined. In this studyI tested whether the condition of mothers affected their daughters'fitness more than their sons' fitness. I manipulated maternalinvestment by trimming the flight feathers and thereby handicappingfemales during the chick-rearing period. Adult females in thehandicapped group had a poorer physical condition at end ofchick growth, as measured by mass and by the residuals of masson wing length compared to control birds. Female chicks wereaffected by the handicapping experiment, showing a lower massand shorter wing length (reduced approximately 8% in both measures)than controls. However, this effect was not found in male chicks.Hatching sex ratios were also related to female body conditionat hatching. The brood sex ratio of females in poor conditionwas male biased but was female biased for females in good condition.Overall, these results suggest that the variation in the sexratio in blue-footed boobies is an adaptive response to thedisadvantage daughters face from being reared under poor conditions.  相似文献

通过梯度浓度的蔗糖溶液(0-1mol/L)的筛选,分拣出7种不同物理学密度的红豆杉细胞聚集体,并对它们进行了木质素含量及紫杉醇含量测定。结果显示:不同的细胞聚集体在物理学密度、木质素含量、紫杉醇含量、生长速度等方面存在着差异,其中密度最小的细胞聚集体木质素及紫杉醇含量分别是密度最大的细胞聚集体的5倍和8倍,并且在一定密度范围内(大于0.2mol/L蔗糖溶液密度),细胞聚集体的木质素含量与紫杉醇的含量呈平行关系,表明不同聚集体紫杉醇含量一细胞分化有一定的关系,首次提出了红豆杉悬浮细胞聚集体培养中存在着异质现象,并对其可能机理及意义给予阐述。  相似文献

The forest ecosystem of the Changbai Mountain is the most typical upland temperate forest ecosystem in eastern Asia. It is also of the most primitive vegetation type that came into being through the natural succession of soil and vegetation following volcanic eruption. The forest ecosystem has great importance for maintaining the structures and functions of the watershed ecosystems of the Songhua River, the Yalu River and the Tumen River. We combined physical assessment method (RAM) with the value assessment method (VAM) to evaluate the forest ecosystem services of the northern slope of the Changbai Mountain, including eco-tourism, forest by-products, timber, soil and water conservation, air purification, and the recycling of nutritive elements. We also assessed the integrated forest ecosystem service and analyzed its dynamics. The service value provided by the Changbai Mountain forest ecosystem amounts up to RMB 3.38×1012 yuan, of which, water conservation is 66%, water conservation and air purificatio  相似文献

We have determined the genome structure of the centromeric region of Arabidopsis thaliana chromosome 4 by sequence analysis of BAC clones obtained by genome walking, followed by construction of a physical map using DNA of a hypomethylated strain. The total size of the centromeric region, corresponding to the recombinant inbred (RI) markers between mi87 and mi167, was approximately 5.3 megabases (Mb). This value is over 3 Mb longer than that previously estimated by the Arabidopsis Genome Initiative (Nature, 408, 796-815, 2000). Although we could not cover the entire centromeric region by BAC clones because of the presence of highly repetitive sequences in the middle (2.7 Mb), the cloned regions spanning approximately 1 Mb at both sides of the gap were newly sequenced. These results together with the reported sequences in the adjacent regions suggest that the centromeric region is principally composed of a central domain of 2.7 Mb, consisting of mainly 180-bp repeats and Athila elements, and upper and lower flanking regions of 1.55 Mb and 1 Mb, respectively. The flanking regions were predominantly composed of various types of transposable elements, except for the upper end moiety in which a large 5S rDNA array (0.65 Mb) and central domain-like sequence are present. Objective: The primary goal was to evaluate sex differences in child weight control programs that targeted increasing physical activity (increase) or the combination of reducing sedentary behavior and increasing physical activity (combined). A second goal was to evaluate the benefits of family‐based interventions on nontargeted siblings. Research Methods and Procedures: Sixty‐seven families with obese children and 89 siblings were randomized to interventions that targeted increasing physical activity (increase) or the combination of reducing sedentary behavior and increasing physical activity (combined). Targeted participants and nontargeted siblings were followed for 1 year. Results: At 12 months, boys showed significantly better percentages of overweight changes (?15.8%) for the combined treatment than girls (?1.0%), with no significant differences for the increase intervention for boys (?9.3%) or girls (?7.6%). Boys adhered to treatment better than girls (p < 0.01). Adherence and predilection for physical activity were significant predictors of targeted child weight loss at 1 year in multiple regression analysis. Predictors of sibling weight loss included age, number of siblings, targeted child percentage of overweight change, and the interaction of group assignment by same sex of treated sibling. Discussion: Gender may influence response to programs that attempt to decrease sedentary behavior, and generalization of treatment effects to siblings may depend on the intervention and characteristics of the siblings.  相似文献

The sustainable use of resources requires that management practices and institutions take into account the dynamics of the ecosystem. In this paper, we explore the role of local ecological knowledge and show how it is used in management practices by a local fishing association in a contemporary rural Swedish community. We focus on the local management of crayfish, a common-pool resource, and also address the way crayfish management is linked to institutions at different levels of Swedish society. Methods from the social sciences were used for information gathering, and the results were analyzed within the framework of ecosystem management. We found that the practices of local fishing association resemble an ecosystem approach to crayfish management. Our results indicate that local users have substantial knowledge of resource and ecosystem dynamics from the level of the individual crayfish to that of the watershed, as reflected in a variety of interrelated management practices embedded in and influenced by institutions at several levels. We propose that this policy of monitoring at several levels simultaneously, together with the interpretation of a bundle of indicators and associated management responses, enhances the possibility of building ecological resilience into the watershed. Furthermore, we found that flexibility and adaptation are required to avoid command-and-control pathways of resource management. We were able to trace the development of the local fishing association as a response to crisis, followed by the creation of an opportunity for reorganization and the recognition of slow ecosystem structuring variables, and also to define the role of knowledgeable individuals in the whole process. We discuss the key roles of adaptive capacity, institutional learning, and institutional memory for successful ecosystem management and conclude that scientific adaptive management could benefit from a more explicit collaboration with flexible community-based systems of resource management for the implementation of policies as experiments. In order to process data of proteins, a numerical representation for an amino acid is often necessary. Many suitable parameters can be derived from experiments or statistical analysis of databases. To ensure a fast and efficient use of these sources of information, a reduction and extraction of relevant information out of these parameters is a basic need. In this approach established methods like principal component analysis (PCA) are supplemented by a method based on symmetric neural networks. Two different parameter representations of amino acids are reduced from five and seven dimensions, respectively, to one, two, three, or four dimensions by using a symmetric neural network approach alternatively with one or three hidden layers. It is possible to create general reduced parameter representations for amino acids. To demonstrate the ability of this approach, these reduced sets of parameters are applied for the ab initio prediction of protein secondary structure from primary structure only. Artificial neural networks are implemented and trained with a diverse representation of 430 proteins out of the PDB. An essentially faster training and also prediction without a decrease in accuracy is obtained for the reduced parameter representations in comparison with the complete set of parameters. The method is transferable to other amino acids or even other molecular building blocks, like nucleic acids, and therefore represents a general approach.Electronic Supplementary Material available.  相似文献
